Did you ever wonder how color effects your art? Or how to choose what pigments to mix to get your desired color? Or how to create visual harmony with color? These are the questions this course will address. We will trace a brief history of color theory as related to art making. Students will learn foundational concepts of strategic color systems and and how to use them. Students will work from direct observation, or from individual own resources. The objective is to enrich each student’s own artistic style and vision through the element of color.
Media: any color-based work: pastel, acrylic, oil, colored pencils, and watercolor.
