This course will focus on drawing techniques and the development of observation skills with charcoal, carbon and graphite. Students will develop both technical abilities and creative responses to material and subject matter. The course will include perspective drawing and a session with a live model to study the structure of the head and face. Students will be encouraged to work outside of class in their sketchbooks.

For all levels – no prior experience in drawing required. Those with experience will be given a platform to further develop their skills that will enhance their painting practice.  Weekly teacher demos will be given.
