This is a plein air and studio workshop with the first day starting in the studio, then a day of plein air (depending on weather), and the final day back in the studio. We will discuss use of the armature of the rectangle, a compositional device, use of the limited palette and pre value study to work out paintings. Karen will demonstrate daily and guide artists individually at their own levels. All levels are welcome with basic skills of drawing already met.

About Karen Blackwood: Karen is a signature member of the American Society of Marine Artists and has been represented by galleries on the shoreline, in Cape Cod, in Marblehead Mass, and in Naples, Forida. She teaches workshops at many Art Centers including the Carmel Visual Art Center in Carmel CA and will be at the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, MA.
