Zufar will give an overview of the  Golden Age of Russian art, which peaked in the second half of the 19th century with a movement called the Wanderers, and provided a foundation for Russian Impressionism of the 20th century during Soviet time, as well as the overall Russian school of painting.

    As part of the celebrations for the 100th anniversary of our historic gallery, we asked young artists to look back at the work of the original art colony for inspiration. Come see their work in Young Impressions, on view at LAA through August 29 and at the Phoebe Griffin Noyes Library in September.
