Celebrate with us the bicentennial birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of American landscape architecture and co-designer of New York City’s Central Park. On January 29 at 2 pm, come along for the journey into the life of the first landscape architect in America. Through slides and historical information, Wendy Swain will bring this amazing Renaissance man to life. Farmer, horticulturist, journalist, abolitionist, park creator, sanitation engineer, gold mine manager, etc., Frederick Law Olmsted dabbled in many careers before becoming proficient in a few.
