James Wisnowski, "Dry Dock", watercolor

For forty-two years, James Wisnowski has taught his creative philosophy in local, national, and international watercolor painting workshops. An important part of this philosophy is that every painting should make a “statement”. This one day workshop will stress the importance of composition in making a successful, interesting statement in your painting. The art of designing compositions will be discussed and illustrated from examples of works from his portfolio, and other famous artist’ paintings. A complete demonstration, using these principles, will be a student-paint-along with the instructor.

Because good composition is independent of the painting medium used, this workshop is open to oil and/or watercolor mediums. However, demonstration will be in watercolor. Although this workshop designed for intermediate and advanced painters, beginners with some drawing experience are welcome.
