Christine Ivers, "Fan Fare Stroll", pastel on textured board

You are sure to enjoy this relaxed and informative nocturnal-themed workshop with the “Queen of the Dark” Chris Ivers. Have fun exploring the many ways that lights in the night add glows and glistening highlights to street scenes after the sun sets.  You will also learn how to better take and print your reference shots of the night or day to help you create wonderful paintings going forward. There will be ongoing demos, plenty of individual help at the easel, a powerpoint presentation on photo editing and tips on taking better reference photos, plus a final critique.

Skill Level: This course is appropriate for all pastel artists from beginner to advanced.

Christine will bring prepared black Gator Boards available for purchase on the first day.*

*A supply charge of $15 for a prepared black Gator Board in standard frame size 11 x 14″ is not included in tuition. To get a Gator Board, on the first day, please bring cash or check for the supply charge to give to the instructor.
