Intro to Painting: Color Theory

Students will develop their understanding of color mixing by executing a series of color charts and designs using limited palettes. Through practice and repetition, they will learn to control color harmony, relativity, value, temperature, and chroma. Coursework consists of slide presentations, demonstrations, preparation of color charts, completion of original designs, and feedback on student artwork. This course is taught in gouache.
