New England Landscape

Lyme Art Association Elected Artists are our most accomplished artists – the best of the best, and the torch-bearers for the American representational tradition. They follow directly in the footsteps of the Lyme Art Colony artists who hung their Tonalist and Impressionist works on the walls of the Old Lyme library in 1902.

The 103rd exhibition continues this tradition of celebrating the artistry of our Elected Artists, who have submitted their best work for this annual retrospective of art that showcases the vast variety of styles and mediums our Elected Artists.

Connecticut Pastel Society – Renaissance in Pastel

Established in the early 1990s by a group of pastel artists headed by Roy Schmid, the Connecticut Pastel Society (CPS) is a statewide fine arts organization with national outreach, and its programs are funded and run by artists and their affiliates intent on increasing awareness of pastel as a fine art medium.

The Connecticut Pastel Society’s 31st Annual National Juried Exhibition, Renaissance in Pastel, showcases some of the best in contemporary pastel art in the nation.

New England Landscape is supported by Guilford Savings Bank in partnership with the Community Foundation of Middlesex County.

PARTNER WALL PROGRAM

Lyme Art Association is proud to have the Nehantic Native Nation as our Featured Organization in our Partner Wall Program during the run of the New England Landscape Show. During the show’s run, LAA will feature an artwork by one of our members with all of LAA’s portion of the net sales (after artist’s share) for the work going to benefit the Nehantic Native Nation. The Nehantic Native Nation is dedicated to the conservation and continuation of its tribal culture and history. They continue to care for the land upon which they have lived, to welcome Nehantics back to their homelands, and to promote the social and cultural well-being of Nehantic descendants.

LAA is proud feature the Nehantic Native Nation and support its efforts to promote the tribe’s social, cultural, educational, economic and political progress.
