A Warm Glow

A Warm Glow exhibition invited Lyme Art Association member artists to immerse themselves in the comforting embrace of warmth, both in color and emotion.

In a world that often feels fast-paced and fragmented, this collection of artworks offers a space for pause and reflection, evoking the gentle, familiar feelings of light, heat, and home. Through rich, golden tones, soft hues, or fiery compositions, gallery visitors enjoy works that bring a sense of warmth—whether it’s the glow of a setting sun, the flicker of candlelight, or the comfort of shared connection.

Congratulations: New Elected Artists Show

The Lyme Art Association Elected Artists are our most accomplished artists – the best of the best, and the torch-bearers for the American representational tradition. They follow directly in the footsteps of the Lyme Art Colony artists who hung their Tonalist and Impressionist works on the walls of the local library in 1901.

Once a year, new Elected Artists are selected by their peers, and LAA is delighted to introduce them in the group show, Congratulations.

Our new Elected Artists: Elaine Juska Joseph, Lisa Miceli, Jane Penfield, Steven Plaziak, and Catherine Puccio.

Congratulations!

PARTNER WALL PROGRAM

Lyme Art Association is proud to have the Public Art for Racial Justice Education, (PARJE) as our Featured Organization in our Partner Wall Program during the run of the First Impressions Show. During the show’s run, LAA will feature art by one of our member artists, with all of LAA’s portion of the net sales (after artist’s share) for the work going to benefit PARJE.

Public Art for Racial Justice Education (PARJE)  is a group of volunteers committed to bringing communities together to achieve racial justice through art. They commission and engage artists to create Public Art + Educational Programming for each of their communities in Eastern Connecticut. Town by town, working in partnership with art schools, museums, faith communities, civic organizations and concerned citizens PARJE provides opportunities and models for community engagement through public art appropriate for each site and locality.
