This class focuses on the study of the figure and portrait, with an emphasis on the significance of good draftsmanship. Students will learn how to better compose pictures that focus on the figure, while at the same time being attentive to the relationship of color and tonal values throughout the picture. 

Students may work in any media, and will receive individual critiques and in-class demonstrations. Mr. Weiss often works alongside students, offering an opportunity to watch a drawing or painting develop. This class may work from both clothed and nude models. Poses will vary in length.
