In this workshop we will explore expressive approaches to painting with watermedia and with multimedia techniques. Whether you want to paint representational works or more abstract images, learning to trust your intuitive process as a painter can allow you to create vibrant, unique paintings. We will focus on moving through the painting process with openness and flexibility to what emerges with the water and pigment; whether a color exploration, creating atmosphere in a land or seascape, or exploring a concept or idea in abstract form.
Through instructor demos and individual and group instruction, we will explore the impact of color, composition and line, and focus on allowing water to help pigment to flow and change. Through experimentation with multimedia, you will learn how to trust the collaboration with the painting process rather than trying to control it.
Any level of painter welcome.
