In this two-day workshop, we will learn to navigate the properties of light and how to apply them to our paintings to achieve eye-popping results that captivate your viewers. Whether you want to paint a still-life, portrait, or landscape, what you learn over this weekend can be applied to all genres. Understanding how light works is a powerful tool as it allows you to play with color and temperature in ways that can elevate your work above just a simple copy of what you see.

With enough practice, you will be able to add light and shadow to objects in your source that may not already be lit, or even move light around your painting at will while still making it look convincing. By understanding how light behaves, you can apply its rules to anything; even without having a reference! Talk about being a human Photoshop!
