A Century of Inspiration

A Century of Inspiration is on view July 30 – September 16.

In this exhibition we draw connections between the spirit of our founding artists and that of our current members. The juror of awards and selection for this exhibit is Amy Kurtz Lansing, Curator at the Florence Griswold Museum.

Monday Painting Group

2021 is Maura Cochran's third year hosting this friendly and intrepid group. Maura always has a good variety of wonderful locations. Please email Maura at mcochran@bartramandcochran.com to let her know you are interested and she will include you in her email chain.

Time is 9:00 am - noon unless otherwise noted.

Monday, October 18
Scotts Farmstand and Greenhouses, 85 Plains Rd, Essex (not to be confused with Scotts in Old Saybrook)
Tons of mums, pumpkins and still some flowers in the cutting fields. If you park along the road the fields of sunflowers are in bloom. Please don't set up in the parking area, as they are concerned that somebody will get run over. A reasonable request. They also don't want us in the sunflower fields, as they are actively working in that area. They open at 9 - this site is not time sensitive if you want to work past noon. Lav available at gas station across the street.

Monday, October 25th
Camp Claire, 15 Oakland Ave, Lyme
9 to Noon
We painted there in June during Mountain Laurel season and there was a request that we return in the Fall. For those that did not make the June outing, Camp Claire, a rustic summer camp for kids, is located on Hamburg Cove in Lyme. Should be peak foliage and there are sites both along the Cove and in the camp itself. They will have a lav open. As a Board member needs to be on-site when we are there, we need to leave by noonNO EXCEPTIONS
