A One-Piece Summer Study
In this focused 2-week workshop, we’ll explore how to thoughtfully compose butterflies and botanicals into a balanced, detailed watercolor painting. You’ll learn how to design your composition with intention, so your work feels cohesive, natural, and visually engaging.
In Week 1, we’ll focus on composition planning through small studies, learning how to place your butterfly, support it with florals, and create a sense of movement across the page.
In Week 2, we’ll bring everything together into a finished watercolor painting, focusing on color harmony, edge control, and guiding the viewer’s eye.
This class is ideal if you want to strengthen your understanding of composition and watercolor.
