An opportunity to complete three paintings from multiple setups

This six-week class is intended for artists of all levels who have had some experience working in oils. We’ll explore various approaches to paint expressive still life paintings. Although the course will include numerous demonstrations and the instructor painting alongside the class, the goal of the course is for each artist to arrive at their own interpretation of the still life(s) more quickly and with more confidence.

Working from multiple still life setups throughout the studio, we’ll simplify the subject into basic geometric shapes and overall value structure. It’s here that we’ll investigate design and composition. During subsequent sittings, we’ll review tips for painting loosely and expressively — without losing control.
