Learn the techniques of watercolor painting in a small format as you create a beautiful keepsake watercolor sketchbook. There will be an emphasis on using the watercolor medium including correct brushwork, water/pigment ratio, and how to mix fresh color combinations to create successful watercolor paintings. Composition and correct application of drawing skills will be discussed. We will be painting a variety of subjects including still life, fruit, shells, trees, flowers, seascapes, and barns. There will be teacher demos at each class along with student sharing critiques. Students will be encouraged to develop a personal style and painting aesthetic.
