Lyme Art Association Membership Levels Explained

There are no requirements for membership at the Individual Level. Both artists and art supporters may join at this level. Full-time students can join at the Individual Level for half price. Most of our juried exhibits are open to artists who are Individual Members (exceptions: the Elected Artist show and the Associate Artist show.)

Artists and art lovers alike may choose to support the Lyme Art Association at a higher financial level by becoming Contributing, Supporting, Sustaining, or Patron members. If an artist has achieved Associate or Elected Artist, their artist level will be maintained at higher financial levels as well.

Once an artist has been an Individual Member for at least two (2) full years AND has had art work accepted in three (3) different Lyme Art Association juried exhibition, they qualify as an Associate Artist. Artists must notify the Lyme Art Association when they believe they have met these requirements so their new membership status can be recorded.

Once an artist has been an Associate Artist member for at least two (2) full years they are eligible to apply to become an Elected Artist member. This requires an application and portfolio submission which will be voted on by the Elected Artist membership.

We know that our membership levels can be confusing! If you are still confused after you read this, please feel free to contact us and we will explain which membership level makes sense for you.
