Be inspired by nature’s color palette across the seasons in this two-day workshop. Explore techniques to create expressive colorscapes using the lively pastel medium. We will focus on painting landscapes, waterscapes, and gardenscapes. The session is geared to all levels of experience.
Diana will share her color-forward approach using demonstrations, fun exercises, and lots of individual time at the easel. We will explore methods to create lively paintings with bold color, simplified shapes, and painterly mark-making. You will have plenty of time to paint and create fully developed paintings.
Experienced painters will explore mark making and color principles more deeply and use new techniques to loosen up. For artists new to pastels, the workshop offers a step-by-step process to jump-start painting with the pure pigments of this versatile medium.
