This is a foundation course that will cover the essential skills needed to see and mix color and value using simple still life objects.

In addition to demonstrations, each class will begin with a brief lesson. Focus will be given to composition, drawing, distinguishing and simplifying light and shadow, brushwork and edges and mixing color. Homework assignments will be given for work between classes so learning is expedited.

Individual instruction will be given to all students. This class is  recommended for beginning to intermediate students who need foundational instruction and the energy generated by working within a group.
