The step by step structure of this class is designed to strengthen the foundational skills essential for a strong painting.

The class will be structured as follows:

  1. Begin with drawing a still life
  2. Incorporate it into a composition
  3. Paint it in values, and
  4. Paint it in color.

Individual attention will allow students to progress through each step at their own pace. This class is recommended for students with varying levels of painting experience who want to improve their skills through structured instruction and the collaborate energy of working with a group. If you wish to improve your drawing, understand good composition, or get better and faster at mixing color, then this class is for you.

Note: While oil paint will be the primary media, acrylic, watercolor, and any drawing materials are welcome.
